E Fan Sensors (5.9->5.2)

Folks:

OK...amazingly enough found a 5.9 in a JY...

I salvaged the 2 temp sensors from the bottom and top hoses.

Questions:
-What temps do each sensor activate?
-I only planned to install one to activate the low side of my fan (all I need even in SC!)...Which hose should I use?

Thanks!!

upper hose activates the low speed relay which give the power to the fan . Relays are located just behind the battery on the fender

True , but , you want it in the upper hose especially as a single . The lower will activate the high speed only if the coolant didn't cool off in the rad enough .
