Durango steering box not going as planned

I just replaced my old worn out box with one from a '98 Durango (or so they told me at the salvage yard). It fit perfectly and bolted up fine, but now the steering shaft is just too short to reach the input... What now? Is there anything else I can do short of taking the box out again and drilling new holes? I'm not the best when it comes to precision, and I have a bad feeling the inner fender wall would end up looking like swiss cheese.
