5.2's sound pretty mild.
The cam in the 5.2 is pretty soft.. long duration.
Nothing I would be in a hurry to put dauls on.

I have a custom made cat back dual exhaust system on my 94 jgcl 5.2 and it sounds pretty good to me. not too loud and cant notice it on the highway. I am not sure what muffler was put on though.

There is very little room underneath to do a true dual setup. Especially if you plan on wheeling it. At least for a ZJ.

Flowmaster 40 will be all you want. But I just cut my muffler off. Nobody cares down here.

A friend of mine had a true dual exhaust installed on his. No cats and I think he used 3.25 pipe. So little room to exit out the rear using that size pipe, so he had it come out just in front of the rear wheels.

The sound is a loud, throaty and obnoxious to say the least. Kind of sounds like an old muscle car. He has been yanked by several locals cops so far... but all they ever say is "Sounds kinda loud, doesn't it?" to which he responds "No, sir." at which they say "OK, have a good night." As if he would actually say "HECK yeah, officer." and none of them want to kneel down and get their uniform dirty to investigate.

true dual on a jeep would be tough because of the front driveshaft.

if you want it loud get mike leach headers, magnaflow cat, fms40 muffler, and put a turndown after the muffler (all 3")
