drum to disc conversion

anyone ever done or heard of this? granted most of the stopping power is already handled by the front discs, i just can't stand drum brakes!

I can't remember the first year, but I know my 1996 GC laredo came with rear discs, and I believe all jeeps that year started to come standard with 4 wheel discs. You should be able to pick up new rotors and calipers at a auto store and get the rest at a auto salvage yard.

For everyone else to help you even more you may want to tell them what year of GC you have.

1994 limiteds started rear disc. 1995 and up, everythign had rear disc. i was interested in doing the swap as well. i woudl think youd only need the master cylinder, ABS pump and computer, rotor, caliper, proportioning valve, and mounts from a rear disc ZJ. anythign i missed?

I did the disk swap on mine.. Found a 98 in the bone yard and pulled them off and they just bolted right to mine.. The only thing I had to change was the emergency brake cables..

Very simple...
