Drag Link, Tie Rod...
Is it normal to be able to easily move the drag link and tie rod in a front to back, back to front motion? No apparent slop side to side.

As in rotate it? Yeah it'll rotate at the TRE's themselves.

Exactly, "rotate", and yes at the the TRE's. "Rotate" describes it much better. Freaked me out at first, but now it makes sense.
