door lock motor problem

hi guys,

I have a problem with locking the jeep ,
once its working and once its not.

my driver and rear gate are making sound like the door lock motor inside is working but its not locking the doors.
I tried to lubricate it with silicone special spray but it came back :
working-not working.

Where can I buy these parts – I looked in rock auto parts and didn’t find it under –
Door lock motor / door lock engine

Thanks for helping out …

Ronen

It probably wore out the actuator. I bought a cheap used on on ebay or you could get one from a part out. For me it was $25 used vs. $125 or something brand new from the dealer.

I believe this is the part number from Chrysler but I would double check.

its a common problem with the door lock actuators going out. my front passenger sounds like im running over a duck(and doesnt lock/unlock) and my rear drivers sound the same but still works. Front lock either side is $100 from dealer, rear doors are $50 from dealer. Dont know about the lift gate.

hi all
i want to make things clear -
i have no strange "duck" sound ,the sound is the same like all other doors - its sounds normal and its sound like its working inside {sometimes its really works and opens the door and sometimes not }

the thins is i am from isreal so when you say dealers what do you mean ?
any dealer web address i can order it from {can be shipped to miami fl and i'll ship it from there }

thanks
