I did it was a pain ... I just chiseled the tops off then drove the pins out. one at a time..

However it may not be the bushings ... Mine was actually the weld .. It had broke... I drilled a hole in the center of the door hinge then put a big washer behind the hinge on the inside of the door.. it work for a temp fix...

On mine Im sure its the bushings that are gone. How did you flatten out the narrow ends of the pin? Thanks for the help.

Try this old JU thread -- helped me do mine. http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums...t=hinge+ pins

It's probably just bad bushings in the lower hinge (you need 2 per hinge), but you will need a new pin.

Edit: it has been quite a while since I did mine, and it's still good, but I have to scratch my head to recall details. I did not need to unbolt the hinge. It's a bit tight, but not too difficult. I used a small 'ball' type grinding stone in my drill instead of a Dremel. If you have any questions, I will do my best to help!

i cut mine with a chisel....
be sure and put something under the door to support it.. a jack or some blocks....

The pins and bushing are hard to find.. well at least around here... the stealer wanted 60+ bucks for a hinge.. I dont remember which one it is but ... They offer a pin for one , and the other one is the whole hinge ...
The HELP Parts dont have the exact one either, but with a little research I found one that was close enough... The diameter is the hard match.. The ones that I found were .001 smaller than what suposed to be in the hinge.

Should not be hard to find, try your dealer or email Nick. Pin p/n is 55076192, bushing p/n is 55074591.

I replaced mine and just ground the heads off of the pins. Wasn't too bad.
