Door handle sticks

The drivers side exterior door handle button sticks in when you open the door. You have to wiggle it around so it pops out to shut the door. I was thinking spray it down or replace it. Any quick fixes?

WD-40.

You'll probably have to pull it off completely and clean it up then relube. I've got to do this with my drivers side rear door.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

NO.... has nothing to do with the handle itself. Don't have to remove anything.

Do the following with the windows UP.

Open the door, there is an oval rubber plug on the back edge of the door. Pry it out.

Spray the linkage inside the door liberally with WD-40 through the hole.

Do all four doors.

Actually, the rear doors don't have the rubber plug, just the opening (at least mine doesn't).

It will be a lot worse when it gets cold.

(If you forget and leave the window down, you'll have WD-40 all over the glass.)
