Okay, I found them online for $200, big whoop.

Still a stupid problem that if Chrysler would've worked on a little harder, could've been avoided.

My WJ experience will keep me from getting one ever again. Can you say lemon?

Mitch, quit with the stupid crap, I realize you are young, but you are loosing here.

I'll agree that the WJs reliability/quality control leaves a lot to be desired.

The blend door parts are around $140 from the dealer and its not an easy job. It will take you a good 8 hours to do this and we all know that time costs money. I spent 8-10 hours fixing mine.

Where did you find data regarding the quality issues on the WJ vs ZJ?

I know about the blend door issue which is pretty dumb. I never heard about the lemon thing. From what I had heard the WJ was a vast improvment over the ZJ in terms of overall quality and reliability (That was one of the main goals when designing it). Of course, I have nothing to support that and I'm not looking for a flame-war, it's only what I've "heard" that's why I'm asking where you got your info.

A little WJ love.

Not trying to flame the debate further, but I was wondering if they exported the ZJ?

Other improvements of the WJ over previous ancient designs:
Eliminated C-clips from the axles.
Improved ABS.
Improved 4.0L (exhaust manifold & power for instance)
Stronger "frame"
Smaller gas tank (therefore it must burn less fuel then right?!?)
In floor spare tire carrier (saves a ton of trunk space)
Improved lighting (then again I am comparing my 130,000 mile ZJ lights to my 36,000 mile WJ lights)

The I6 ZJ's got better gas mileage than the I6 WJ's due to the lighter weight...

I just like the WJ better, the way it drives and I find the interior to be very comfortable and it works well for me.

None the less the ZJ's were great too, but the WJ is a improvement, just like the WK is a improvement on the WJ.

Overall though I'd have to agree, the WJ didn't make as much of a impact on the SUV market as the ZJ's did, and even the WK's, both of those stepped up from everything else on the market quite a bit...

To be fair to the WJ, it also has better brakes and steering as far as I'm concerned. And the ZJ has issues with the AC evap and front brake rotors. But that doesn't make the WJ any less ugly.

Sure they exported the ZJ, and the ZG.

The WK's an improvement over the WJ? Maybe for the street crowd, but it's no longer a serious truck.

The drivetrain is smoother/more powerful and the interior is improved.

Aside from that it is a more solid/stronger chassis...

It has bigger wheel wells so you can throw 35's on it practically without doing crazy trimming.

The only big loss on it for the offroad crowd is the IFS...
