Even though a plenum leak will cause a loss of HP and MPG you would still have power to move fairly well. It would ping a little under load too. If it's that bogged down I would drop the tranny pan and see what it looks like. Nothing to lose really. Just have to start eliminating stuff.

Ok. It sucks because my niner trans is doing almost the same thing. That I know needs a rebuild but this one was fine and was rebuilt in the last 30k..
