DIY A/C Discharge?
Curious as to how someone would discharge an A/C system at home.
Not sure any freon is left in there, but possibly. Looking to get on to that awesome evap/htr core swap in the AM. Thanks!

Take it to a shop and have the vacuum it out for you.
They can reclaim anything that is left in there and they'll do it for next to nothing.

I read it was an expensive procedure? Not sure why it would be, I'd figure it to be less of a hassle than an oil change.
Well it's crap-tastic weather here again, so the evap/htr core/sound system day may be put off till next weekend. |

check to see if you have any in the system in the first place, remove/loosen the low pressure switch and see if you get any freon to vent.
It's 134a anyway... give it here I'll snort the crap ![]()
