Dirt cheap ZJ airbox mod

Get ahold of a 6 pack of UNI UFV-6 vents (pic 1)
Pull the airbox and lay them out. Mark the locations with a scribe (pic 2)
Start drilling 1" holes. I used a wood auger because that's all I had (pic 3)
Lube the filters (pic 4)
Pop in the vents (pic 5)

You don't need all 6 vents and lube the minifilters. Cut away some metal at the bottom. I applied some radiator seal, but optional.

The UNI and K&N stickers are worth that.

I did the K&N drop in too. I cleaned and oiled the filter and reset the computer anyway.

Did it increase your throttle response at all ? Looks pretty inexpensive.

I reset the computer last nite and it is still learning, so I can't be sure. I drove her to work today and on first impression she seems to be pulling harder, but that could be in my head. A bit louder too.

Bring in more air I believe. I would just slap a cone filter on though. It would be more of an improvement I would think.

This mod should suck cold air from the wheelwell. My underhood temps are ridiculous since the Edelbrock headers.
