Different Engine in a 98 LTD?

A family friend has a 98 GC LTD thats in peferct condition, mostly cause he paints it at a high end shop every year, has 4 sets of wheels with all kinda of tires (off road, low profiles, winters, and another set with off roads) but it has 270k km on it, I think thats high, but its such a good deal that I was thinking could I drop a chev 350 in there?

IF you want another engine, get a new one that is a direct bolt in. Why would you want to go with another computer, engine mounts, tranny adapter and the other add-ons I haven't mentioned?

I was thinking the 5.9 magnum shortblock that Jegs. Has..
That should be a direct bolt in and it has some pretty impresive numbers..
