Different color LEDs in dash

I'm trying to decide what color LEDs to put in my ZJ. I'm not sure if I want to do Red, White to get blue with the filters or Blue to get a deeper blue than the white would get.

Post some pictures to help me decide

In the thread how to change dash lights in 93-95 zj a guy in there said that with LEDs no matter the filter color it will still throw say a green light with a blue filter would be green. Just dim.

I love my blue LEDs

blue causes eye strain and will be detrimental to night vision.

red or green is best for your night vision.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

I actually agree with this, I have blue leds in mine, they look cool but in bad weather at night I turn the dash lights off because they blind me to much... That and my headlight housings are in desperate need of replacement.

Here's mine blue

Also make sure you get ones tha project 360 or you'll get super bright spots in the dash like mine

The needles look awesome with that blue. I think I might go with the red just because of how bright the blue is. On my 95 Laredo it is the biggest pain in the @$$ to get to the gauges. You basically have to take the whole dash apart.

You do have to take a good bit off, but don't worry it's not to hard

Yeah it just sucks to look read threads on how to do it on a 96 and then get into it on a 95 and you find on more reason on why you wish you had a 96...

I just had to replace the cluster in my 93 the other day. I started a thread while I was doing it. I didn't make it like a write up or anything, but I did take a picture of how much was left when I finally got the cluster out.

Scroll down a little bit in that one and you'll see what you'll be dealing with.

It definitely would've been helpful if I knew you could take the cluster out from the top...Oh well I'm also changing the light switch colors also so it all has to come off.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to get the right ones at autozone. Here read this write up on changing the lights, he gets his from superbrightleds.com, I got mine from them to.
