What happens if you disconnect the plugs? If there's no change, maybe one of your plugs wasn't in or a wire off it is bad...

Drove the dam thing this morning and my speedo doesn't work either
The case is from a 93 my heep is a 95 I had to switch the sending unit for the speedo to be able to plug it in but are there other differences that would make it not work?? I can't imagine that the sender went bad just from switching it
Help me please!!!

you speedo gear isnt in there properly.... just twist it like a half turn in either direction and that should do it. the gears just need to line up

Take a look at the sensor body itself - it has numbers etched into it...those correspond to the tooth count on your speedo gear. Now, look at the TC tail cone. It has a little bump - align the appropriate number range with that little bump. Speedo should work.
Turning the plug the opposite direction doesn't sound very good

the only reason it wouldn't go all the way into the case is if it was lined up for a smaller diameter gear than the one you have.
you have it lined up to a larger diameter gear than the one you have, so of course it will still go in and obviously not read anything.

The speedo gear actually just rides on a splined sleeve that runs on the output shaft. It's possible that you may have gotten a case that needs either the long or short speedo gear, but not very likely.
