Diagnostic Trouble Code

Guys-First off-"Hi" from London. I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee CRD Diesel and I have the yellow warning lamp up on the dash. It puts up the DTC code: P-0700, which seems to refer to the transmission controller and WJ Jeeps.com mention this may be the input/output sensor on the tranny. The website is from the US so I don't think it covers the diesel engine and transmission which are Mercedes units. The Jeep drives fine and the gearbox changes thru all the gears no problems. Any idea what this could be?
