Decisions decisions....

Hello all! I have run into a farly difficult decision to make and of course the root of the problem is a crippling bit of damage. I have a 97 5.2l and i recently lowered it from an 8" lift to 5" the reason being that im running only 33s and the extra 3" wasnt needed (along with being illegal here and my jeep is due for inspection). The PO of my zj was responible for the lift and unfortunately he decided against an adjustable rear trackbar and installed a drop bracket on the frame along with a bracket on the axle. Problem #1 the brackets now hit my spring on one side and my gas tank on the other problem #2 the brackets are welded in place.
As far as my options go i can think of 2.

Get adj trackbar, cut off all brackets and weld on replacements
Ditch the trackbar and get the rear longarm upgrade from Claytons

But is it worth the extra $$$?? Also does any other company make a triangulated rear setup to get rid of the trackbar

Thanks for any input! here a picture just for fun hahaha
