Someone should add this to the FAQ. It must be missing!

My DW fix was upper track bar BRACKET was loose, and new control arms.

I'm thinking the setup on these is similar to that on my 99 Dodge 2500. I replaced the trac bar, drag link, ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, sway bar links, steering stabilizer, tires, and had it alligned before the death wobble was eliminated. Hope you don't have to do all that. The trac bar was the main problem and it goes about every 50k on those trucks but that Cummins is alot heavier than anything on a Jeep. I took the trac bars completly off my YJ and had no problems though... maybe the leaf springs were enough there?

Had the DW. Changed the front bushings. All of them on the front end. I will get the back end done but first must fix the garage heater. The DX went away. Drives straight and true. It was no suprise that it had a problem. The lower rear arm bushings were completely gone. Because they are covered by the brackets it was very difficult to visually inspect them without removal.

Best 120 bucks I have put into it.

My experience, yours may vary.

Nakita - there are a lot of threads on how to test for this.

Get a buddy to turn the wheel about 6" either direction, and watch every joint closely to see if it backs away from the mount. If it does, replace it. When you did the lift, did you get an alignment done? That would be a good idea.

I did notice you're in Golden - I work out there, so if you're near 6th and Indiana any time between 9-5, I can probably sneak away from work for a few to take a look at things with you.
