is this a deal ?

hey guys, im looking for new tires when i get my tax return, since im in college im not looking for mudders or anythign extravagent, just something i can put on my factory rims and look 1/2 way decent.

well my uncle offered me a deal, he has a set of aluminum GMC rims that he had on his 93 1500 chevy..they are brand new rims, and they have michilen LTX tires on them , 235/75r125's ...the rims and tires are brand new with only have 2200 miles on them ....he offered me the rims and tires for 400 bucks, and my other uncle told me i can turn around and sell the aluminum rims for 250-300 ...sooo would this be a deal i should pick up ??

michilin ltx tires with about 3000 miles on them ?? for 4000 bucks, they have been kept in his basment for the past 3 years since his truck was written off (winter rims on truck when it was written off) and there is no air in the tires to prevent crakcing or what not, im gonna check the tires out but if all looks in nice shape ..pick them up or no ?? hoenst opinions wanted guys, im in college soo im on a budget , what do you think ?

btw , i have 235/70r15s on my jeep right now, soo will 235/75r15's fit on stock suspension with no problems ?? i think they will look decent, white letters too

anyone wanna voice in, im all ears

thanx guys

125 inch rims are too big for a jeep I think. and 4000 bucks... I'm thinking you can find something cheaper than that.

Check over the tires real good. Its a deal if the tires are excellent. Id make the deal final after they got mounted and balanced and test driven ...since its family Im sure that they want the deal to be good. Offer to do it all together and show em the money. The rims will sell for at least 200

i would definitely grab them if they are not dry rotted or worn unevenly, and have plenty of tread left.

He's selling the wheels, so it doesn't really matter.
