Dash keeps dimming.

My dash keeps on dimming as I'm driving, its almost as if someone was playing with the switch and going up and down on it. Could this be the battery? or even worse the alternator? If its none of these, what could the problem be? and how can i fix it. Thanks!

it's almost always going to be the headlight switch itself.... dimmer can be cleaned or a new switch installed

Or you could repair it for a lot less than purchasing a new switch.

Worked on both of my ZJ's.

Just be careful if you have fog lights. It's easy to melt the plastic switch when resoldering it's terminals, then you have to replace the switch
