dana 44a axle shaft bent. i hope its the axle shaft

a few months ago i was 4wheeling and hit a stump it broke my rim and ever since then my passenger side makes a noise driving. i can tell somethings bent because if I'm going slow i can feel it kind of lumping. it goes up then down then up and down and so on. it doesn't vibrate that much but it gets bad when i get up to 60-65.

The lump makes me think its the axle shaft itself. How hard is it to replace an axle shaft and what alls involved besides taking of the rotor and caliper and the hub bolts? I've got to take the diff cover off and take out the c-clip if I remember right. If anyone can chime in that'd be great.

I found an axle at east coast gear supply for 155 shipped its a yukon axle they have a spicer axle for 25 more dollars. Whats the difference between yukon and spicer?

I've been driving on it for a few months now and probably will be at least another month until i get some money saved up.

44a isn't a c-clip. take all the brakes and stuff off loosen those 4 bolts that are behind the dust shield. using a slide hammer pull away and it will slide right out. reinstall is the reverse minus the use of the slide hammer whole job took me about 20min on jack stands.

also FWIW use one of those niffty lazer level things that projects the beam and make sure you didn't move the tube out of the housing. it sounds like you took a hard hit.
