dana 30 front diff fluid

So i changed the fluid less than a month ago and have less than 300 miles since service. Well been getting a whining noise and checked front diff fluid and looked like rusty thin fluid.
Jeep has only been on pavement but sat on lift for a week without axle shafts.
Anyone seen fluid this color.

That's about how my fluid has looked, after going through mud. Not only after 300 miles though. And the whining sounds like a bearing to me.

Yeah, really hoping all bearings are ok, gonna fill it with oil, make sure clean oil gets circulated, then drain and put in fresh gear oil. I really hope its not f'd up. Its got brand new half shafts, ball joints, and i wouldn't even know where to get a donor dana 30 lp with 3.55 in my area...

So i've flushed twice with 20W 50 motor oil and let her run on jack stands to circulate fluid, second time fluid came out nice and golden. Time to clean quick, apply RTV, and fill with 85W 140 valvoline and hope for the best.

Looks like a little bit of moisture might be in the fluid, maybe not though. I doubt fluid alone is the reason for your noise though.

Most likely is soke sorta bearing, see if you can search for your noise amd figure out where it's coming from. What kind of whining is it? Does it sound like it'a coming from the axle? Or possibly one of the tires?

Its hard to tell. Im going away for the weekend so I'll get back to it next week. Hopefully its not an inner diff bearing...

Could be the pinion bearing. Have you check if there's any wobble on the yoke or leaks around the yoke seal?

I'll have to check later. After i did the flush with motor oil then filled back up it was fine until i turned, could it have something to do with the axle shaft? The right was just replaced and after that is when the noise started...
I have spare shafts for mine I'll swap in to check on that when i get time to work on it
