daily driver shocks

gonna replace the original shocks on my wifes 99 gc 4.0. jeep has 165000 mi and i figured might as well do them while i have the tires off replacing pads and rotors. whats yalls opinion on the best shocks for daily driving? i want the best/most comfortable ride possible. jeep never is off road or tows, only would have to deal with crappy roads in mississippi. need something available at autozone/napa/oreillys etc. as i am doing this tomorrow, no time for mail order.

You are going to get a ton of responses that say Black Diamonds. I have no experience with them, but am in the market for shocks (so I read all the shock related threads) and it seems that a lot of people love them.

Just put KYB's on my '99 and GC and like them alot. Did get them online, however only took 3 days and the price was great. Got them at AJ-USA. Good luck.

I had KYB's on my WJ when it wasstock (I still have them actually, only a couple thousand miles on them too. PM me if you want them. They're just sitting around so I'd sell them to you for cheap). They rode surprisingly well for a twin tube shock.

Kolak can get you some OEM-Chrysler (comfy) shocks for way cheaper than the dealer. It will ride like a Cadillac again!
