D44a and D44..

are the D44 and D44a the same width from Rubicon/TJ to WJ? mounts point same? would you need to change the DS as well? just curious.

Nah, a WJ has a wider axle (WMS) and I think different CA mounts etc...

WAY different. Not only is a WJ axel 3" wider but the rubi axel would not come close to bolting up anyway.

Yep, the TJ (along with the ZJ) is a 5 link including a tracbar. The WJ is a 3 link in the back.

TJ WMS = 60.75" and WJ is 63.5"

don't forget about wheel bolt pattern. WJ 5x5 vs TJ 5x4.5
