D44 Overhaul

My rear end is making a lot of noise lately, both on my ZJ and the other one

Any tips on what to look for on an overhaul? I'm hoping the ring and pinion look okay and it is only bearing issues.

I've overhauled a few Chevy rear ends and this one looks a lot like the one on my 78 1/2 ton I did many years ago.

wheel bearings, carrier bearings, fresh baby seals, check gears for wear both R&P and spiders. Brakes while your at it. Look for excessive metal in the gear lube
