D30 High Pinion Question

Will a HP D30 from and XJ (non disconnect) bolt into an ZJ. If not how much work would it require.

it is a 99% bolt in, i did it, i had to drill a few holes for ABS retainer cips for the wires and for the lower bump stop extensions.

Is the benefit of HP that there are more splines to make contact with, thus spreading the load across more area on the Axles....?????

noo....

the drive shaft is up higher and out of the way, and the HP is stronger because of the way the stresses are exerted on the axle... i dont know the exact science.

xj's use different attachment style for the sway bar endlinks. you may need a different driveshaft, zj's like cv joints everywhere for some reason.

all brackets are in the same locations though. if you want to retain abs you'll want to use your knuckles, xj non abs knuckles don't even have the boss cast in for the abs sensor.

though abs can be a drawback on the trail anyways.
