Cruise Control

First off, Im new to this site but not new to the automobile forums. I used to own a Ford Explorer, which I sold and got an '03 Overland over the weekend. Beautiful 4x4 might I add anyway, well when I was on the highway I was trying to activate the cruise control but wouldn't let me set the limit. I was going about 75mph and wouldn't set. The green indicator light came on but wouldn't set. Im new to Jeeps and dont know if there's something I didnt do...maybe my seatbelt not being locked had something to do with it as a saftey feature or soemthing. I dunno. Any ideas?

I had a 96 and the buttons were either old or bad. I could get it to come on and set etc buty only if in most cases I pushed it really hard.

Otherwise I would check the vaccum line going to the cruise unit under the hood and follow it to make sure that it's hooked up right.
