cant beat that.
so by then ill have refilled my tranny and get the sensor changed and we'll see what happens
wow does he know what he's getting in to.

My symptoms were:
Stalling
Stuttering/bogging
Backfiring
stall when warmed up would not start until cooled down
random check engine codes

Things I replaced that made no change:
Fuel filter
cat and O2 sensor
TPS and IAC
oil change

I dunno im not exactly sure. No I did not replace the CPS even though I did get a code for it but since the PCM was going crazy throwing out a lot of different codes I left it alone.

^interesting

ok. fixed my tranny band and now that my tranny is full i no longer stall at lights while in gear.
after driving it today for about 10 mins, i think i just need a simple tune up..
prolly just cap, rotor, wires(??), and ill just go new plugs since im redoing everything else

question
should i go with the Accel cap and rotor (brass connections and all that jazz) or should i just go mopar?
is the Accel worth the extra money (marginal if that)?
or is mopar better fit for a zj with stock ignition?

also, do i need to do wires? and if i do wires, should i go with some 8mm wires (assuming i go with the accel cap & rotor) or just go stock

let me know guys
think iv narrowed this down

oh forgot to mention that i didnt get to take my jeep to the dealer to get the CPS fixed. still will prolly do that just to get it out of the way and save myself some trouble down the road

Doesn't Kolak recommend the Accel cap? you should replace the rotor while you are in there also. So after you adjusted the bands it doesn't stall anymore? that's weird I didn't know the tranny could cause stalls.

hey John...you aren't running anything special so normal plugs and cap and rotor will be fine. Even the wires. If you were running up there in the mods then I would recommend running different...yes...you can hold on to the ecu till you figure it all out.
