I don't have pics of the HVAC, but all I did was solder in LED's with 470ohm resistors and tie them all into the + and - of the dash lights. I have to redo it with a red LED for the hot side of the thermostat as you can see in the pics... it doesn't light up with the blue LED haha

I still have to pull the headlight and rear wiper switches to do those though.

depending on the color and size of the L.E.D's they should only require a few Milli. amps of power, your resistors should be kinda higher in wattage (due to heat disipation), I think some of you that are using just any resistor or none at all have electronical problems in your futre, and heat disipation problems which is going to cuase major issues inside your dash. I would start doing a little math and learn a little about ohm's law before messing with L.E.D.s but it sounds like some of you hav.

use these equations to calculate the right numbers

P=VI
and/or
V=IR

where:
P = Power (watts)
V = Volts (Volts)
I = Current (amps)
R = Resistance (ohms)

is this a dual/jensen i/d i see? lol!

I really like the pics of what you've done...considered it myself..but not sure I like how bright some of the dash lights are. How good are they with the dimmer?

Dual? Jensen? EW no. This is a Valor. Read the reviews... 5 stars on Crutchfield. Specs are great, price is great, win.

The dimmer does little. Dims a little then shuts off.

valor...dual..jensen... same difference... To each his own there...

I figured they wouldn't dim much if/at all using the dimmer...LED's..that was kinda a dumb question lol.

Got another question for ya...did you actually get the flip to open up all the way, or does it hit your dash? cuz if it does, I got a fix Only about 20 bucks and a bit of epoxy..super easy

I do like the idea...now I gotta figure a way to change color without losing my dimmer...I'm sure I'll figure something out lol. Thanks again for the ideas.

It looks like there was meant to be a light there anyways, they even put in clear plastic so I dont know why Jeep didnt put lights in there in the first place
