So I know a couple years back someone else had done a setup like this. They used a Vortech FMU and adjustable MAP sensor for "tuning" with an Eaton M90 supercharger. I've seen a few other builds similar to this, while I realize it's not an ideal setup, if it works it's worth it. I've found that SPA makes a FMU that is adjustable for only $100 and should be better then the average "Chinese crap". I've managed to find a really cheap supercharger too.
So this is parts list:
$125 - Eaton M90 Supercharger from a Thunderbird SC
$100 - SPA Adjustable FMU
$0 - BOV out of my tool box (since I'm doing a before throttle body setup)
$0 - Charge pipe, also out of tool box
$89 - Walbro Inline Fuel pump (just in case)
$40 - DIY Adjustable MAP sensor
$160 - AEM UEGO Wideband
$40 - VDO Cockpit Vacuum/Boost gauge
$0 - 30 lb injectors out of my tool box again.... donated by a forum member a couple years back. Sadly I have forgotten his username.
$20-50 - MISC parts and DIY bracket where AC is mounted (I've never had AC on this one)
For Mechanical Water/Meth injection
$47 - HVLP/Air Atomizing valve
$24 - 3-50 PSI cracking adjustable check valve
$25 - Water/Meth Jug
The idea is something like this
I will simplify it a little by not using the bypass valve it includes and just venting to atmosphere with a generic BOV. I will keep AIT's manageable with the meth injection pre supercharger and to reduce the risk of detonation. I also intend to run E85, I've run it in this Jeep before with those injectors and had very little issues. It was just harder to start sometimes but with the additional fuel pump I don't think that will be an issue, it just seemed to struggle while fuel pressure was building. If that's not enough I'll experiment with different spark plugs. Other then that it ran just like it does on normal gas.
My guess is somewhere between 230-250 whp for under $700. With capability of potentially going higher but I'm not sure how safe it will be. I'm sure the setup is capable of 300 to the wheels but I know the transmission wouldn't handle it and I'm not convinced that the pistons can either however running E85 and Meth should go a very long way to combating any piston issues.
