Compass problem...

We've got a '94 GC Laredo, and the compass seems to be locked in CAL mode. I've done about 1000 circles in a clear parking lot, and it still displays CAL with the direction locked in N. I've reset the entire trip computer, and I have reset the VAR to my correct zone. Still, no luck. Any clue as to why this is doing this, and how I can get it to work normal again?

You don't have anything like a magnetic-mount CB antenna on the roof, do you?

One more try to see if anyone has any clue...

I disconnected the battery for the 14th time, no luck. I also reset everything again, no luck. Here's the skinny: Compass stays locked at N, "CAL" stays lit all the time, temp works, trip odo does not work (stays at 0.0), eco does not work (stays at 0.0), avg eco does not work (stays at 0.0), dte works, and et works.

Anything I'm missing besides having to get a new computer/console?

Thanks!
