Code Retreive question for 2000 WJ.

I checked at wjjeeps.com and found the on.off/on.off/on.off/on but it does not seem to be working for me. is this the right sequence for a 2000 wj?

I wait till the odometer comes on then go back to off. I think I remember pulling codes a few months ago on this jeep but it could have been for my 96. when i called my local dealer he told me that does not work on jeeps newer then 96, but like i said im alomost positve i pulled codes for my jeep last year when i got it.

I have been searching the forum because i think i remeber finding another sequence a while back for my jeep, but cant seem to find that thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated right now.

Try holding the odometer reset button when you do it.

I think none of these tricks work on European WJ's, or some other country...

Dunno, either have a foreign WJ, or you're doing it wrong.

I've never had a problem doing it on my 99 or my 02...

on (see mileage) completely off, on (see mileage) completely off, on (see mileage) completely off, then turn to on and leave it on...if there are no codes present i will see none?

thats the way im doing it, just wanted to be sure it was correct. am i doing it to quick or to slow?

You're doing it too slow.

Do not wait until you see the mileage.

On my '01 and my wife's '04, it's on-off/on-off/on. In other words, one less on-off cycle.

Like said befor on/off/on/off/on, you can do it quickly, just don't start it.
