CO2 Tank Bracket Mounts - Need Ideas To Steal

Okay - I've seen how Colorado 5.9 mounted his Powertank in the rear, also seen how Tim has the bracket for his 20-pounder. I want to see how others have mounted the bracket for their CO2 tanks. Right now, I've got mine just held down with some rubber bungies, and I hate it.

I've at least temporarily given up on having my spare mounted vertically since I moved to a 32 on a non-stock rim in there...backspacing won't allow me to use the stock hold-down bolt, and I kinda like having the tire laying down...no, a bumper with a tire carrier isn't an option right now Tire's laying down in the middle of the cargo area, butted up against the trim - not the back seat...need to be able to put spare axle shafts between the tire and seat to secure them. The rest of that area is clear for cargo, I even used the snazzy compartment on the driver's side (where the towing pigtail is) for my highly scientific swaybar disco tools and equipment (read: rubber mallet for when the discos are being stubborn, and bungies for tying the SB up to the pinch seam), so I need easy access to that.

Show me the pics boys and girls!

I've got pic's here somewhere on mine I'm just too lazy to find them...but it's a WJ, it's on the opposite side of where Tim's is. it's bolted throught the floor and siliconed and also bolted into the compartment where the CD changer went.

Mine is wedged in and attached to the old spare tire hard point on the driver's side.

Mine is mounted in the back right corner using the mounting bracket from offroad air. But I'm pretty sure you've seen that...

If I ever get a rear bumper I'm going to mount it back there I think.

I've got the Offroad Air setup like yours, just the 10-lb setup. Just trying to figure out the least intrusive mounting.

I thought you had a bracket, but never saw it mounted. Last time we wheeled together was LHC last year.

Oh yeah. Well, it was mounted but its not anymore. I took it out a while back because I needed the cargo room. I don't know where I'm going to mount it when I put it back in.

I've been looking at that loop trying to think of how to incorporate it. I'll have to stare at it some more.

Just have to think of something that a fabrication retard like me can do. Don't even know which end is up on a welder. Might just break down and punch a couple holes in the floor. Just don't like getting a drill that close to the tank

Too bad you can't mount CO2 tanks sideways. It would open up alot more possibilities.

Did you know that there are four "i"s in that word^. ???

You can mount it in any orientation you want. You will just have to remove it and place it upright to use it. I generally remove mine anyway when I air up or use airtools.

I thought I read somewhere that you have to have it upright for 30 minutes before use. Kinda defeats the purpose IMO
