Clicking noise - 96 ZJ 4.0

Hey guys, so I have been stumped and confused by this one for a few weeks now. I have browsed a lot of forums and posts but can't seem to find anyone with a solid "yes this fixed the problem". I get a lot of "its probably ..." or "your blah is trashed". Anyways, here goes...

I got a 96 ZJ 4.0 (non-CV front end, u joints). No lift etc, just a bone-stocker. When there is forward/reverse momentum and I am making sharp or slightly sharp turns I am feeling a constant "click" sound from the front end. Its louder and more defined when I am making left hand turns. The clicks never happen when I am stopped or with wheels off. This leading me to a bearing/hub assembly issue or loose suspension components. I have read somewhere that the caliper might come loose? Not sure if that is true or not or how to exactly check for that. When my wheel is off the hub etc seem loose but that's because my wheel is off, otherwise feels just fine to me.

I crawled underneath and put my hands on pretty much everything and checked for play. Nothing out of the ordinary.

-U joints all around
-Track bar
-Shocks/coil springs

I can take/post more photos if it will help, just let me know

Sway bar endlinks may be worn out. For the brakes just check that both caliper bolts are still there. I lost one and it was probably months before I noticed it.

Thanks Polka, I'll check that out, and take a few photos if there is any in question. I assume if they are slightly cracked/dry-rot, should just replace right?

...also

Also I forgot to note that when I hit bumps I hear a similar "clicking" noise, although I don't hear it as loudly as I do when I turn. Sounds like a metal-metal click.

could be an axle u-joint or front driveshaft u-joint. but to me sounds like wheel bearing/hub assembly. my hub assembly's started off making a clicking/ticking noise when they were going bad and turned into small popping sound.

BUMP! Hubs/Bearings and U joints

Ok, so I am doing the hubs/bearing and front axle u-joints this weekend. I will take photos and respond with my findings.

Also, I took a couple quick photos when I had the wheel off the other day. Any other ideas?

Thanks!
