Is it constant clicking, relative to wheel speed? Quiet (or almost quiet) when going straight, clicking only when turning?

If so, sounds a lot like worn CV- joint or u-joint (whichever your ZJ has).

It has been squealing when turning for a year or so........does that mean anything to you? Also for the last month when turning hard I could hear a hard clunk every now and then.....never was able to pinpoint its location or cause tho.

If you can get someone to saw the wheel back and forth while you listen, you might find it. I had the track bar bushing floating and it would clunk hard once each time i turned the wheel. Do this on a loose surface or you'll damage the tires.

squealing is probably low fluid in PS pump, or the pump has issues.

If it's a single clunk/ creek/ click and is not consistent with wheelspeed, it is not your CV-/ or U-joints. A single creak or click is a loose suspension component, if you mostly get it when steering it's most likely a trackbar issue. That being said, it can be pretty much any suspension- related component.

If you get a moaning/ whining when turning the steering wheel (especially if/ when you turn it to full lock), it's your power steering pump.

If it's whining, and you fell a clunk in the steering when turning a certain direction but it's fine going straight check your hub/ wheel bearings.

I have a clunk noise sometimes when making a turn. Rare though. I think I need new track bar bushings to solve my problem.

The wine is defiantly the power steering pump.
