Cleaning procedure

Took my Jeep mudding yesterday and on to some trails. I was wondering what would be the best way to get rid of all the mud+grass+dirt thats on the underbody? I seem to have gotten out most of the chunks of earth by hand but there are still little wads of grass around and i tried powerwashing the underbody and that didnt work well. Would i have to jack up the car and manually remove all the gunk and stuff?

If i clean most of it out for the exception of small patches of dirt and dust would that severely affect my Jeep in the long run in terms of reliablitiy and squeaks and such? and by long run i mean 2 years down the road or so.

i just use a powerwasher at a car wash and it seems to get most of it. then just crawl under there if you really want to, and you can use some simple green and a brush of some sort.
