Clanking noise from front wheel
I have a '98 Laredo 4.0L 4x2 and noticed the abnormal sound few months ago, and I thought it was the shock absorber who is damaged so I replaced it, but the clanking noise is still there. Can you help me fixed my GC Laredo 4x2.

I had one as well, I thought it had toj do with suspension somehow. It was the chrome rings on the wheel, had gotten loose and was rattling against the wheel.

I will try to see a mechanic to check for that. Someone told me that maybe the alignment of the front wheel. Is that possible?

When does it make this noise? When turning, accelerating, braking, when hitting bumps? If ya have to, bring it to a large chain shop like Midas or meineke that offers free checkups. The can tell you what it is then just say you wanna save some $ before having it fixed. Common front end noises are: the brake backing plate rubbing, loose parts, worn parts. It really could be a # of things but shouldn't be too hard to find. If nothing else jack the truck and start grabbing and shaking stuff til ya find something with some play in it.
