Check Gages - Warning

This is my first winter with my GC. Since the weather has changed to cooler temps, Ive noticed that occasionally my Check Gages warning light pops on but goes away soon after. All of the other gages look fine, except my oil gage seems to be moving around. The oil level is fine, but the gage will read below low, level or above level at different times.

Sometimes when I start my Jeep, the oil gage never moves it stays in the off position and this makes the GC sound and feel as if it is going to clunk out. I usually have to stop and turn it off and on again to get the oil gage to wake up.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Possibly the Oil Sending Unit which can be easily located in the engine compartment.
