chargold98's Build Thread.

Im going to start a small build thread finally. Starting to do small things here and there just to get my jeep looking current and new still. The plan is to get a 2.5" BB this summer with a decent set of tires.

Today I decided I was going to re-do my grille. I had originally done it with Krylon fusion but it has chipped. A friend of mine found a link to this "new" (to me/him) coating called Plasti-Dip. It was originally designed to coat handles of tools and such to provide grip, now they offer it in aerosol form!. I will posted pictures after I get them uploaded. I also did my jeep wheels and his SI wheels on his accord. We also did the lens tint on the tail lights.

I also have painted the cladding with the Krylon Fusion and it is holding up well!
Can't wait to get the pictures uploaded to share them!

If I was you I'd skip the BB, and go straight to something like a RC, or IRO 3.5" and 31s if you ever plan on wheeling it. I used duplicolor spray on bedliner on my grill, and ended up going over it with some flat rattle can paint. The tinted tails usually look pretty good especially if you tape of the reverse light. Can't wait to see the pics man!

The plasti-dip paint is a grippy paint. I am very interested in seeing how it holds up. It can also be peeled off if I change my mind about it!

When I get back to my home(xmas vacation ) I will be uploading some completed pix. 2"IRO bb. And 31" Goodyear Wrangler duratracs. So far I am truly impressed with the tires. Haven't found a bunch of mud but the little I have found the tires feel confident! Also waiting for Ohio to decide that it is intact winter and start snowing instead of this nasty rain!
