MY batteries not getting a charge..As of right now it's got less than 9v and won't turn the engine.....I checked
1.Wires and cables (cleaned and tight) Both battery & alternator.
2.Fuses. Fuse box under the hood (all of them ) checked with multi-tester for continuity. Cleaned contacts and placed back.
3. Voltage as of yesterday while engine was off around 12.3v
While engine was running around 11v, (Not the 15v I would expect)
The Haynes Manual say the Voltage regulator is contained in the Power Control Module (PCM)...When battery is not charging replace PCM...
Question ? How do I determine if the Alternator is bad or PCM is bad...I don't want (can't afford) to replaced both if only one is faulty through process of elimination.
I've read there maybe issues with having to "Re-flash, re-program" the PCM.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance.
