Changing a tire

This may sound odd, but I could not get my right rear tire off.
All nuts came off but it would not budge.
Why?

Kick the crap out of it at the top then the bottom, then side to side until it comes off. Best stance to use is the crab walk

On my old '93 I had to put a 2 x 4 on the inside of the wheel to protect the rim, then smash it with a small sledge. It took some muscle as I continued to turn the wheel, and this was after neverseize had been applied to the wheel.

I think this can be closed for obvious reasons.
