change the vc on my transfer case

Hi I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee limited 4.0 with all wheel drive 4 full time not sure what kinds transfer case but does anybody know how to change the vc let me know thanks

For tools you just need a good socket set and a GOOD pair of snap ring pliers

I didn't remove the transfer case to change mine. Fill it with ATF 4 until it comes out of the fill hole. Don't try to overfill.

Cheaper to change it over to a junkyard 242 from any XJ , about $150 in average boneyard (preferrably post-96 so you wont need to swap the input shaft), and get
a used rear driveshaft with an external slip yoke from any ZJ that came with 242 ($60 on ebay)
