I am thinging about replacing mine also, because sometimes the CD won't eject unless I pound on the dash. I haven't checked, but I would think they would make different models of the same unit to fit different applications.

I would check with a store like Best Buy or an automotive sound shop.

just go to an autoparts store or car audio store and say "i need a dash kit for a 94 jeep grand cherokee" and buy a new deck...there is no part # theyre mostly generic...like 93-98 dodge, jeep, chrylser.

Any single-DIN stereo will fit with a dash kit. That's 90% of the heads on the market.

If you can find a DIN-and-a-half head unit you like, it'll fit directly (and be the same size as the factory unit). Pioneer has a couple most stores carry.

ZJ's use 1.5 Din, but I doubt you'll find an aftermarket 1.5 din pretty easily. Get a 1DIN unit and a radio install kit from autozone. Kit is $20, and you should invest in a nice headunit, which is a couple hundred dollars for a quality one, maaybe ipod in, HD Radio. Good stuff. Still, dont buy a Cheapo Dual or insignia, I made that mistake before, my insignia doesnt read anything anymore, its just crap
