Caliper bleed valve

Hey guys I ran into some brake trouble. My caliper seized up and destroyed my pads and rotor on the front passenger side. Needless to say yesterday after work was fun. My question is what size wrench fits the bleed valve on the calipers? On it now is new rotor, pads, and caliper. But I apparently don't have the proper size wrench and had to use vise grips. thanks guys. I'm replacing everything on the otherwise next week.

Sent from my iPhone using JeepForum so it probably looks goofy.

From memory it's 5/8 but 8mm will work too. Don't hold me to that though

3/8s not 5/8s

5/8s would be a wee bit big.

if i recall the bleed nipple is weird and the wrench works one way. but from my memory i've always just used teh box end of the wrench and its worked

It was either a 8 or a 10. Just did the brakes a couple weeks ago and the memory is already taking a nap. Damn I hate getting old.

Well it turns out I was using a 3/8 and rounded it off on both the old and new caliper >.<
