Now I think my fuel pump have out. It ran dry and when i put gas into it it didn't start. Rapped on the tank skis and she fired up but died a few min later and now won't fire at all.. Does this sound like my problem?
Also I put dry gas in the tank and switched the fuel pump relay.

Leading up to this it rained and snowed while the jeep was outside uncovered. 98 5.2

amazing the kind of home brew body work you can do with a jack and a come-a-long. I have fixed the front "frame" on my old XJ with a bottle jack and the door jamb/rocker panel on my ZJ with a come-a-long.

when you cycle the key, you should be able to hear the buzzing of your fuel pump running. it will run for just a couple seconds when you turn the key to the on position before starting. if you can't hear it, most likely it is not running. could be the relay, or a wiring issue if not the pump.

On my 95, we cut an access hole in the rear cargo area to remove the pump without dropping the tank.

The access hole is a great idea! the battery is dead and its in a muddy a** field so the only way to jump it was a mud truck and I could barely hear it turn over over the truck. Lol I need to get her to dry land and see what I can do.
Was your hole center of the back or does it need to be offset?

I think it is offset to the drivers side. I will try to get an exact location this weekend if you want

omg, get yourself a hilift jack ASAP!!! before i got the winch, it was my primary recovery tool. and i still use it when i have to back out of something, instead of pulling forward with a winch. and you can do some incredible things with a hilift with some creativity.

Scrap the fuel cell and pump! Swapped fuel pump an ac relay and threw a couple new fuses in and she fired right up! took her for a test run and realized she needs a full tune up ASAP! Kinda doggy... Gave her the seafoam today and seemed to idle better so ill test it later.

Cut the exhaust off just after the cat and she sounds awesome! but.... Think something happened to trans or trans linkage first run thru the mud. it wants to keep going forward in all gears... And won't turn more than 2k RPMs...

I. Almost forgot. I figured out how to shut off the alarm if your key wont work in your doors.

I took the door panel off pass side. Cut both wires for the lock motor and spliced them together. I then did this with the wires for the lock switch and ban alarm shut off.

Haha the look on the salesmans face when he saw your trade in must have been priceless.

Any chance you grabbed the BB and wheel spacers before you traded it in?
