Burning smell

Hi I’m noticing a burning smell (burning rubber or smthg like that) for a week now
And funny thing is that I smell it for a moment right after I just parked it. Nothing smells under the hood, in a tire wells, under the jeep or inside. It drives me crazy. Any ideas?

I know this is an old post, but did either of you find the problem? I recently smell a faint smell for about 30 or 40 seconds after I shut down, thought maybe a diff or oil but I don't see anything

I once had that smell only to find out my speedo cable was touching the exhuast pipe, i know our jeeps don;t have a speedometer cable but something else like the oxygen sensor wire loom or something may be touching the pipe and slowly melting away causing the smell.

I had a similar smell and it turned out my lower radiator hose was leaking and the fluid was blowing back onto the exhaust.

Also, check your CV joints. If you have them there are as many as 3. Two in the axle and one on the front driveshaft.

My front driveshaft CV went up, I smelled burning rubber, but there was the 'angry sparrow' chirping that accompanied the smell. Good luck.
