Need help picking out a bumper for my zj. i like the simple tubular style, maybe even a stinger. needs to mount easily and have mounts for a winch plate. let me know what you have on your rig and where you got it from please.

dang, they're expensive! i found some smittybilts i like and are cheap, but not for a zj. i really dont want to spend $700 to be able to mount a winch.

Wrangler bumpers are cheap, zj bumpers aren't.

You drive a tj, we drive a zj. We have more power while you get more shower. We get the v8 while you get there too late. You have 2 doors well, we have 2 more. Ours costs a grand while yours has a price we cant stand.

Build a bumper. You can buy the templates from me then trace the shapes on the metal. Cut them out and weld together. I built my front bumper for well under $200.00, considering I have enough steel to build a rear bumper as well. I paid $160.00 for a 4x8' sheet of 3/16" steel. The mounting brackets need to be 1/4" or reenforced 3/16"

XJ bumpers can be modded to make work . I got mine for $500 new , used would be alot cheaper . I made a jig for a few brackets . Took it to the local steel scrap yard and had them cut it out with a torch . Came home , gave them a few touch ups with the grinder , a splash of paint and "bolted" everything together . Came out pretty good IMO . And yeah , it's been put through some tests
