Blend Door Failure

Since this will cause only cold air to blow onto the windshield in winter, that would seem like a safety defect. Has any one ever filed a complaint w/ the NHTSA

Don't know if this forum allows a posting of a URL but if so it's above. With what appears tobe so many failures maybe Jeep should be looked at as making a poor design and possible recall. If enough complaints come in they may check it out.

Just for what it's worth.

If you have some time go through the complaints year by year and you'll spend a day reading about the AZC HVAC system . They are of poor design and literally junk, and they aren't going to help anyone out, except tell you about the updated design and let you fork over about $1200 to one of their dealers for installation/parts.
Same as the junk heated seats, with the new design about $250 each seat, it will be up to the owner to do purchase and install, unless they were covered under the recall campaign. I could go on and on, how about the oil pans that rot out because of the material used? Leaking high pressure PS hose, brokem manifold studs, front brakes/rotors on the earlier WJ's.........
