Blend Door Accuator Replacement

Is there a decent blend door accuator that actually works besides a mopar one. I replaced the one on my 94 ZJ with a Doorman unit from advance and this is the second one that is a no go. I can plug the original in and it does run. Just has some dead spots where it stops and needs a hand to get going again and doesen't move the door reliably. Door is in good shape and moves easily.
