Hi there, my name is Matt and I am new to the Jeep world, I am a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering. I have definatly been bittin by the Jeep bug

What I am building it for:

The Jeep will spend 70% of its time on the road so extreme lifts and crazy articulation are not what I am after. I am coming from autocrossing small 2 door cars so on road handling is a major factor to me, but not to worry I will NOT be lowering it lol, however thats why the ~2" lift is all I am at for the moment.

I want to build it more for hauling *** over semi rough terrain more so than rockcrawling..... prerunner I think is the name for the style I am after


So far:

3/4" lift blocks (+ 1" from upcountry for a total of 1.75" Lift)
Bilstein 5150 Shocks
Addco rear swaybar
Skyjacker Hydro7000 Steering Stabilizer
Iron Rock Offroad 3" Catback
30" BFG AT's

ANYONE that is wondering how to improve their handling for $150.00 GET that sway bar! That thing improved things so much its absolutely insane, the shocks helped a lot too.

Nice JEEP, I just bought a black 97 that I am starting to modify. So far I only had the money for a 242 t/c swap, Prothane motor mounts, & changed all the fluids and put in synthetics. Keep us posted on the upgrades you make.
